July 27 - Mixed Media Magic Making with Mystele
I am beyond delighted to welcomethe incomparable Mystele back to The Collage Cafe. If you aren't familiar with Mystele's work, stop everything and take a look here: https://www.mystele.com/ It was after working with Mystele in a class that my art truly shifted and I continue to go back to the lessons I learned from her as I continue to explore and define my own 'style'.
During this 1/2 day workshop, we will be working on 18x24 heavyweight paper suitable for the layering and the mixed media techniques we'll be exploring. All supplies, materials, guidance, and light snacks, bubble water and tea are included. No need to bring a thing (unless you have something special you'd like to incorporate.) ** I don't have coffee on site, so please feel free to bring one along if you like ** (or any bevvie of choice).
Class size is limited so don't delay.

I had such a blast teaching at The Collage Cafe last Summer (2018) and I can't wait to come back! This time I'll be sharing the process behind my folk art faces. This will not be a step by step class but a process driven (the why behind it all) demonstration of how I build faces without “rules”. Along the way, you’ll definitely learn some how-tos, but my main goal is always to help set you free to use YOUR eyes, imagination and skill to create authentic work.
