Dec 1: Vintage Holiday Soldered Frame with Melissa Packer
I have long admired Melissa's funky vintage style and her way with a soldering iron. I'm so excited that Melissa is offering this soldered frame class. Just in time for gift giving season. Because Melissa wants to be able to give you 1:1 guidance through this process, she has asked that we limit it to the first 6 guests. I expect this class to fill fast....
There’s just something about vintage postcards and images that evoke warm memories, especially around the holidays. This year, create something truly beautiful and unique to showcase those memories. Join me in creating your one of a kind soldered frame set featuring images/ephemera from your stash or mine. If you're enamored with soldered jewelry and have always wanted to give it a try, this is the class for you!
In this class you will learn:
- how to prepare/wrap items to solder
- the basics of soldering using jewelry-grade solder
- how to add embellishments to your piece
- how to antique your solder to get that true vintage feel.
Absolutely NO experience is necessary.
Feel free to bring your own pictures/ephemera or use pieces from my stash. And word has it, Lindy has quite a bit of ephemera on hand as well.

I have been creating art/jewelry from metal, glass and solder for over a decade, and love how every piece is one-of-a-kind! As an instructor, I find great joy in helping others discover new talents, especially when they believe they “aren’t artsy.”
