Mixed Media Ampersand
You will create your very own work of art using a paper mache Ampersand as your base. Using a variety of papers, found objects, paints, inks and glues, you will decorate and embellish in your own style to fit your mood and mojo.
Thursday Dec 29th 1 - 3:30pm
Painted Stenciled Tote
You will work on a full size, heavy-duty canvas tote bag to create functional art. Using paints, stencils, inks and embellishments, you will be guided through the components of adding layers to create interesting textures and designs.
All materials, supplies, guidance and refreshments are included. Please make us aware of any food sensitivities; we are able to easily accommodate.
$99 OR Register early and save! Only $75 when you sign up by Nov 12th. Seating limited to the first 8!
What ages / grades can attend these sessions?
Typically we host 6th, 7th, and 8th graders... there are, of course, exceptions... we can discuss on a case by case basis. Would you feel comfortable leaving your tween on their own at home? Are they mature and do they like to immerse themselves in artsy/craftsy kinds of projects? Yes? then they are ready for this great experience!
What is the space like?
If you've not been to The Collage Cafe, I encourage you to come and spend some time in our space. We host many kinds of workshops, playshops and private events and we can't wait for our Middle School Makers Winter 1 session to begin. We have a large area where all the making fun will take place.
How many makers will participate?
We limit the enrollment to no more than 8 makers...we want to ensure every maker gets individualized attention and direction while still empowering them to explore new ideas and ways of making.
Have a question not covered... just reach out any time. I'd love to talk with you!
